Oval blue and white transferware serving platter made by Wedgwood & Co. (the other Wedgwood, not Josiah) in the Benares pattern, with a center medallion and floral and geometric border. Circa 1875.
Measures 12 5/8 x 15 5/8 inches. Printed and impressed marks on the reverse.
Overall condition is good, with some utensil marks on the front of the platter, dark spots and stains at the rim and underside, and some skips in the transfers. The center medallion transfer is slightly off center.
