Vintage Telephone Cord Plastic Coil White Handbag 1940s Clutch Purse

This clutch purse is decorated with small plastic coils similar to telephone cords. These were popular in the 1940s and ‘50s when wartime rationing led to the use of creative materials in fashion. In off-white, with black fabric lining with small side pocket, metal zipper and curled lucite pull.
Measures about 6 1/4 inches high, 12 3/4 inches wide, 2 1/4 inches deep. The pull is about 3 3/4 x 2 1/8 inches.
Overall condition is good, with minor overall wear, no cracked coils. Very slight overall yellowing from age. A little dust on the interior, but no tears or losses to the lining.
