$0.00

Mid-century ceramic and walnut bookends designed by Jane and Gordon Martz for Marshall Studios of Indiana. This was the first bookend design by the couple and was introduced in the late 1950s. The rectangular face has harlequin pattern of multicolor ceramic pieces. Cotton velvet back to protect book covers. Unsigned.

Measures 7 1/2 inches high, 5 inches wide, block is 1 1/4 inches deep, 4 1/4 inches deep overall.

Overall condition is good, with no chips or cracks to the tiles; minor surface wear to wood with a few small scratches and dents at the edges. Velvet backing shows some fading. Black material (rubber?) on underside of metal plate is worn, particularly on one.
