Vintage Dansk Staved Teak Ice Bucket by Jens Quistgaard IHQ 1960s

$0.00

This staved teak lidded ice bucket was designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk. The slightly tapered container has a circular handle on the lid and its original black plastic liner.

You can certainly use this for your mid-century bar, but it will also serve as a nice storage container for your office, closet or bathroom. Many Dansk ice buckets stack, as you can see in the last image.

Measures 6 inches high overall, 9 3/16 inches diameter; container is 4 ⅜ inches high, 8 ½ inches diameter across mouth. Branded four-duck mark, made in Denmark, early 1960s.

Overall condition is good, with no chips or splits to the wood or along the joins. The lid and handle have minor wear, with a few small dents around the perimeter of the lid handle. There is slight sunfading overall—you can just see the difference in color at the rim of the container where the lid covered the wood. The plastic liner shows some wear and scratches, but no cracks or losses.
