Dansk teak-handled stainless carving knife and fork in the Fjord pattern, designed by Jens Quistgaard in 1954. With half of original box. Early German production, both marked ‘Dansk Designs Germany IHQ’. Circa 1960.

Overall condition is very good, with very minor wear. The set retains its original plastic caps and presumable saw little use, if any. The stainless steel is in good shape, showing minor wear. The join at the wood handle is strong with no splits in the wood visible. The plugs at the end of each piece are present and in very good shape. Natural variation in the color and figure of the wood. The box (with no lid) shows wear, the losses to the color especially at the edges.
