Set of Ten Dansk Rosewood Chargers, 1970s

$0.00

Set of ten Dansk rosewood chargers design by Jens Quistgaard. These were meant to be used as underplates that remained on the table as the plates of each successive course were removed.

Each measures 13 inches diameter. Some have the Dansk International Designs green foil label, 1970s.

Overall condition is good, with no chips or cracks to the wood, but the surface of each does show some wear. There are some scratches, rubbing to the surface in a circular pattern (probably from plates used on top of the charger), and what looks like pooling of the varnish in the cavetto between the plate surface and the rim. One plate has a slight separation along the grain, but this appears old and is stable. These minor issues could likely be improved by some light conservation.

The gray ceramic plate (Franciscan El Patio pattern, 1950s) and Fjord flatware are not included.
