Henning Koppel Teak Tray for Georg Jensen - Round Staved Wood

$385.00

Staved teak tray designed by Henning Koppel for Danish retailer Georg Jensen. The round tray has a shaped rim, which was seen on all the pieces from this line.

Provenance: this tray was owned by Bobbie de Marneffe of Massachusetts, a noted philanthropist and supporter of preservation at Edith Wharton's The Mount.

Measures about 16 1/4 inches diameter, 1 1/8 inch high. Branded mark and previous owner's label on underside, 1960s.

Overall condition is very good, with no splits to the wood or along the joins. There is minor surface wear, with a few scratches and tiny dents at the edges. Natural variation in the color and figure of the wood.
