Dansk Stainless Steel Fairwind Flatware Set - Service for 12

$2,475.00

Dansk stainless steel flatware in the Fairwind pattern, designed by Jens Quistgaard. This probably just slightly post-dates Quistgaard's 1954 Fjord pattern which uses the same mold for the bowls, tines and blades, but with a teak handle. Fairwind has the benefit of being safe for dishwasher use. Early production made in Germany, mid- to late 1950s.

Each of the twelve, five-piece place setting comprises a dinner knife, dinner fork, salad fork, tablespoon, and teaspoon. All have the four duck/Dansk Designs Germany mark.

Overall condition is good with minor surface wear and a few tiny spots, consistent with age and use. I recommend gentle washing, and an occasional gentle scrub with Barkeeper’s Friend.
