Staved palisander ice bucket designed by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk. This is from the 'Rare Woods' line, a group of wares made from exotic woods from around the globe, dating to the early 1960s. The lid fits snugly and tilts to lift out; black plastic liner.

Measures about 17 3/4 inches high overall, 8 1/2 inches wide across the top handle, 7 1/2 inches diameter. Branded mark on underside, made in Denmark, early 1960s.

Overall condition is very good, with no splits to the wood or along the joins. There is minor surface wear with a tiny loss along the grain at the rim and tiny white spots in the grain at the edges of the rim. The plastic liner has a few scratches, but no cracks or losses. Natural variation in the color and figure of the wood.
