$1,500.00

Pair of pewter-inlaid walnut salt and pepper shakers by Paul Evans and Phillip Lloyd Powell, from the early days of the collaboration between the two designers, circa 1960. The two produced several types of objects, including candlesticks, chargers and ashtrays that combined walnut with pewter string inlay.

Taller shaker measures 3 3/4 inches high, 1 3/4 inches diameter; smaller measures 3 1/4 inches high, 1 3/4 inches diameter. Unmarked.

Overall condition is good, with minor surface wear and a few tiny dents. Natural variation in the color of the wood. Holes are clear, interiors are clean and the cork stoppers have been replaced.
